Yogurt garlic dip
Hello HTS Community
Today I bring to you a party recipe, something you can binge on and not feel guilty at all. It’s refreshing, light and can go with chips, fries, vegetables, absolutely anything.
Pro-tip: Always make extra, because this baby vanishes quickly 😉
Prep time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 1 minutes | Total time: 11 minutes |
Ingredients you will need:
- Thick yogurt or curd- 1+1/2 cup
- Garlic (minced)- 5 medium sized cloves (more if smaller)
- Fresh basil leaves- 6
- Lemon juice- 1+1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil- 2 teaspoon
- Fresh Coriander (chopped)- 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper- 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt- to taste
- Green chillies (chopped, optional)- 2
Steps to make yogurt garlic dip:
- In a bowl, slightly whisk the thick yogurt to make smooth. You can use normal homemade curd, just hang the curd and refrigerate it to remove excess water.
- Finely chop the garlic cloves and fresh basil and keep aside.
- In a small pan, lightly heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil, and add the garlic. Cook the garlic on low heat, until slight aromatic and golden. Remove from heat and add to the yogurt.
- On top of it, add rest of the ingredients and cover with a cling wrap. It is very important to refrigerate this dip for at least an hour before eating, so that all flavors combine well.
- Garnish with a basil leaf on top and serve with chips, fries, carrots, assorted bread on platter.
